I am a great great great grand daughter of Thomas Grover, it’s a lot of generations but my grandpa is Thomas Grover Worlton he’s still alive and we have Thomas Grover’s journal. I know Thomas Grover was a great man because of the stories I’ve heard from him. Apparently he got in a fight with Brigham young once, he was a outspoken man. He also is mentioned in the Doctorine and Covenants.
Sam, I didn’t know Thomas Grover had a journal. There are SO many decendents! I’m sure there are hundreds that would love to read it! I know I would. Is there anyway that it can be made available for his other grandchildren to see? Could it be made available online perhaps? I am also a great great great granddaughter.
Hey Amy, I don’t think there is actually a Thomas Grover journal. I’m wondering if Sam has a history or something like that. If it was a journal that would be a miracle…but they do happen. Sam didn’t leave an email, so no way of contacting her. If you find out anything… let me know. Larry J. ilbcnyou@hotmail.com
I just saw this (I too am a descendant). The linked page is not to a Thomas Grover journal. Rather, these are all of the journal accounts from the same overland trail company that Grover was a part of. So by reading these accounts you can get a sense for what his journey to the Great Basin must have been like.
uuuh, I think i am a descendant, (considering my last name is Grover)Sooooo… Hi!
